About the Choreographers

DoubleTake Dance
Choreography by Vanessa Martínez de Baños and Ashley Carter
NYC based dance company that strives to connect with a wide range of audiences through fusions of movement that are accessible and understandable to both the dancer and non-dancer. Shows include NYC SummerStage, Battery Dance, Carnival, Baltimore Invitational, Webster Hall, New York Fashion Week, Fuse TV, The NY Jazz Choreography Project, NYC Half Marathon, as well as several films, music videos, commercials and industrials. Company directors also teach open classes in NYC and guest teach all over the world.

Georgia Duisenberg 
Georgia Duisenberg is a dancer and artist from San Anselmo, California. She studied at the SF Ballet School and later the Vagonova-style City Ballet School, virtually joining NYC’s ABT JKO School at 16 during the COVID-19 pandemic. After relocating to NYC and graduating from the ABT school, despite encountering an injury, she danced with the New York Theatre Ballet and City Dance NY. Currently, she is engaging in choreographic pursuits and is studying fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Charly Santagado is a dancer, choreographer, and writer currently based in Philadelphia, PA. She founded contemporary dance company mignolo dance with her sister Eriel in 2017. Her work has been shown extensively throughout the tristate area as well as internationally, and she is currently pursuing an MFA in Dance at the University of the Arts.

Choreography by Doron Perk
Doron studied at the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance (2003-8) and danced in the Croatian National Ballet (2008-10), Compaña Nacional de Danza Spain (2010-13), Batsheva Ensemble (2013-15), and ZviDance (2016-22). A certified Gaga movement teacher (2015-present) and an adjunct professor at NYU Tisch (2023-present).

sarAika movement collective is a contemporary dance collective with a distinct taste for interdisciplinary collaboration. Founded by Aika Takeshima and Sara Pizzi, their art is a form of activism documenting key issues and personal insights, to highlight minority groups and underrepresented communities, and create a safe space for reflection.

Synergy Dance Collective NY

Synergy Dance Collective NY is a project-based contemporary dance company created as a platform to foster collaborative multidisciplinary dance/arts works for the concert stage, site-specific locations, outdoor festivals and film. The core members of the group began dancing together in 2016 led by Artistic Director Nancy Brier, an Arizona born, NY based choreographer, teacher, filmmaker and Certified Movement Analyst. Nancy’s works have been presented in NYC, LA, Amsterdam, Berlin, London, France, Czech Republic, Italy and on MetroArts Thirteen/MetroStories television networks. Awarded NYSCA’s 2022 NYS Choreographers’ Initiative Grant, 2022 Individual Artist Restart NY Regrant and 2023 and 2024 Statewide Community Regrants. www.nancybrierdance.com

Talia Putrino
Talia Putrino hails from Endicott, NY and currently resides in New York City where she works as a professional dancer, educator and choreographer. Talia’s work has been presented at Steps on Broadway, Dixon Place, Peridance, Uptown Rising, Newburgh Illuminated Dance Festival, Triskelion Arts Summer Fest, Arts4Alz and for National Choreography Month in New York City.

The Nadanam Collective
Choreography by Jeeno Joseph
Jeeno Joseph is a bharatanatyam dancer based in New York and is a senior disciple of Dr. Francis Barboza. Currently, Jeeno is under the guidance of smt. Ranjani Ghoshal for talam. In addition to his ongoing growth and journey as a dancer, Jeeno earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University and is a co-founder of NYC Adavu; a weekly meetup for like minded dancers to practice together and develop a sense of community.
