TODAY Xfinity Theater

About This Show

NBC’s The Today Show beams the news onto millions of screens every morning: every hotel continental breakfast, every hospital waiting room, everyday. In the Internet age, as television news dies, The Today Show is still one of NBC’s largest money-makers, subsidizing its entire news division. TheatER’s TODAY is part homage to a decaying medium & part exposé on the four anchors often referred to as ‘‘America’s First Family.’’ In TODAY, that family falls apart: live, in a script that collages verbatim television segments with news articles, interviews, criticism & dance sequences.
