There Are People That Are Dying Written by Justine Gelfman and Elizabeth O’Donnell

About This Show
THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT ARE DYING is a contemporary adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragedy, KING LEAR, weaving in dialogue and drama from KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS. The show blends the grandeur of classic drama with the glitter of reality TV, offering a pointed commentary on how timeless themes like power, loyalty, and love are refracted through today’s fame-obsessed culture.
All proceeds from this event will go directly to IndieSpace’s programs, which provide emergency grants to individual artists, with weighted priority for BIPOC, disabled/D/deaf, immigrant, and trans/gender expansive artists, for their mental health, food, and housing insecurity.
