Little y Theatre Company’s: The Great Österlin Colony by Heloise Wilson

About This Show

A lonely single mother runs a struggling artist colony on a secluded island near an empty sea. The only other residents are her teenage daughter who dreams of escape and a middle-aged poet with crippling anxiety.  One day the bell rings. The play explores the potential impacts of climate change, creative inspiration, government corruption and helplessness. Birds die. Leeches suck. Lovers kiss. A parable of the end.

About Artist

Based in NYC and Perth, Little y Theatre creates dynamic and honest stories that resonate with, inspire and move humanity by exploring the question… Y? Having produced 9 plays since 2011 and performed to sell out seasons and critical acclaim, Little y is the proud recipient of multiple awards including a grant to tour Scent Tales through Western Australia, Best Production at the Blue Room Theatre Awards and Best WA Performance at Fringe World for Public Space. Our passion is to mix the reality of every day living with the surreal world of the imagination to create truly ‘theatrical’ pieces of theatre.
