HOT Festival presents The Body of Mary: A Play in Three Acts (of God)

About This Show
THE BODY OF MARY is a biting new play about controlling the means of reproduction, controlling the narrative, and controlling Mary. It’s funny because it’s true.
MEET: Mary of Nazareth, 13 and just trying to steer clear of marauding Roman soldiers, learns she’s been chosen for something super special!
Mother Mary, 54. She’s devoted her life to New York City’s neediest, running shelters for homeless trafficking victims. Cardinal O’Malley has a pitch for her and her sister nuns—an exciting new way to serve.
Mary of Nazareth (Texas). She’s 19 and finishing her late-night shift at Dairy Queen. She has no fucking idea what to do with the baby she just found in the dumpster.
