About This Show

Sounds of a #taplife
Anthony Lo Cascio

Whether we are willing to accept it or not, the universe works in mysterious ways.  Seen or unseen, there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes of life.  Over time, Anthony has discovered the universe will try to teach the same lesson over and over again until one is willing to respect it, recognize it, or learn it.  #taplife is a reflection of some of the greatest lessons Anthony has learned and a connecting of those dots.

The Amazing Amy Show!
Amy Harlib

Amazing Amy considers herself the last of the Red-Hot Mamas. Amy is like Sophie Tucker, only a lot more flexible & ridiculous. Laugh until you plotz, it is so meshuga, cause Amazing Amy mixes the personalities of Fanny Brice, Molly Goldberg & your Grandma Bubbe with her incredible contortions.

About the artists

Anthony Lo Cascio is a native New Yorker, who has performed, taught and toured internationally as a tap dancer since 1994. He has opened shows for artists including Natalie Cole, Earth, Wind & Fire and Stevie Wonder. He has made appearances on Regis & Kathy Lee, Expresso, Good Day New York, and MTV Live, among others. Anthony has performed and taught in all 50 states, Mexico, Canada, the Netherlands, and as far as Monte Carlo on the French Riviera. An original NYC cast member, and the first American to earn a role in the show Tap Dogs, a large part of Anthony’s career, over 16 years, has been spent playing the role of The Enforcer.  In early 2013 Anthony finished a 6 week tour, in South Africa, with the international cast of Tap Dogs.

The Amazing Amy (Harlib) is 60+ years young and proud of showing what she can do despite her age. She has spent a lifetime studying all forms of movement and physical theatre. Amy became attracted to Chinese martial arts, acrobatics and Yoga in the early 1980s and parlayed that into a solo performance career that took her to Taiwan and back to her native NYC environs to perform in a wide variety of venues until 1994. In that year, major injuries forced her to retire until a total left hip replacement in 1998.  Despite ongoing challenges of arthritis and recovery thereof, Amy never stopped her yoga and hated being away from performance, so she relaunched her career in March 2009. A right hip replacement in January 2015, which dislocated in April 2015, has not stopped her Amy’s career. Since then, Amazing Amy has used her extreme flexibility and zany imagination to perform all over the greater NY metropolitan area.
