In the Lounge Shirley Julia Belanova

About This Show

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt once said: ‘as long as our country has Shirley Temple, we will be all right.’ This look into the life of ‘America’s Little Princess’ shares her incredible personal journey from Hollywood stardom to motherhood to international diplomacy. Featuring songs made popular by Shirley Temple, this show’s original take on a global sensation is an unforgettable story of ambition, fame, loss, and resilience.

About the Artist

Julia Belanova is thrilled to bring Shirley to Dixon Place. Favorite roles include: Anne in The Diary of Anne Frank (Custom Made), Coraline in Coraline (San Francisco Playhouse), and Beth in Little Women (Theatreworks Silicon Valley). This winter, she will be performing the role of Belle in a national tour of A Christmas Carol with Perseverance Productions. Earlier this year, she graduated magna cum laude from Harvard with a B.A. in Theater, Dance, and Media. As a little girl growing up in Woodside, California, she trick-or-treated at Shirley Temple Black’s home, and Mrs. Black said she liked her costume.
