Part II: Plays in Development

Co-presented by Rhythmcolor Associates and Rainbow & Thunderbolts Multi Media, Inc.

Soyini Crenshaw’s one-woman play in development deals with her personal journey from sexual abuse and its impact on her childhood and adult life. Having emerged as a survivor, she shares her experiences in this thought-provoking piece. The writer-performer explores her earliest memories and impressions of her healing transformation, with intention to provoke more attention to and to champion understanding of the long-term effects of sexual abuse, particularly in children growing up in an unsupportive environment where there is no open discussion of abuse.
