About This Show

A poetic and cultural journey exploring the rich lives of LGBTQ people featuring Alena Singleton & Alexander Cavaluzzo

About The Artists

Alena Singleton is a queer, beautiful, brown badass woman poet who lives and loves in Brooklyn. Love is her truth. Truth is her love. And she, unapologetically, has no interest in trying to be anybody other than EXACTLY who she is. That’s her radical act of self-love for the day.

Alexander Cavaluzzo is a writer and artist based in the East Village. He’s written for Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine, BlackBookMagazine, Travel + Leisure, Nerve, Performa Magazine, The Style Con, Gaga Stigmata and regularly writes for “The World’s Greatest New York Art Blog” Hyperallergic. His writing has also appeared in New York Magazine and the New York Times (albeit in the form of advertising copy…) His artwork has been featured in Miami Art Basel, Descry Arts Projects’ exhibition OUT TWENTY-FOUR at White Space Gallery, NY, and other venues across NYC. When he’s a drag queen, his name will be Miss Anthrope.
