Pretty Girls Don’t Light Their Own Cigarettes is an ongoing series of theatrical episodes that follow Venus, aka The Great Fairy Venus Celestina. about the artist
Venus Celestina is a performance artist and playwright who expands and complicates the world of gender. As a non-binary person, Venus tells stories of their experiences to create exciting narratives and striking images. Writings include “HOME” at HOT! Fest ’17 and “Monstre” at Playwrights Horizons Downtown. They perform at events such as Am I Write Ladies? or for companies like Built for Collapse.
