About This Show

After their grandmother’s death, three sisters come together to sift through the belongings and home she left behind. As the girls deal with the grief and seek closure, Kathleen, the middle sister, brings home a stranger she met at the local supermarket. Set in a suburb of Toronto, Canada in the early 2000’s, Peonies explores the taboos of modern day families.

About the Artists

Heloise Wilson ( playwright ) is an actor and writer working in NYC. She is the other half of the award-winning theatre and film company Little y. She has performed, been curated and produced at many downtown venues including JACK, the Bushwick Starr, the NY Fringe Festival, Dixon Place ( The Great Osterlin Colony) along with working for TV and Film. Little y ( Company ) Little y is a not-for-profit multi-award winning company that creates dynamic and courageous stories that challenge, inspire and move humanity by exploring the question, wh(Y)? The company is committed to including women in leadership roles and people from diverse backgrounds in all the work produced.  Little y just completed a successful run of Thread by Elena Zucker at the 2016 New York Fringe Festival, released a web series Then Than Happened and is working on its 2017 season.

Christina Roussos ( director )  Christina’s work has been seen at Ensemble Studio Theater, Caps Lock Theater, Rattlestick, The Lark and Theater Breaking Through Barriers among others. She also directs web series, short films, and music videos. She received her BA in Theater Studies from Emerson College and is currently pursuing her MFA in Directing at Brooklyn College where she most recently directed the premiere of Kate Benson’s Radium Now.
