Artichoke Dance Company is known for humorous theatrical athleticism, intricate partnering, and confronting contemporary social issues. The company has been producing original works in collaboration with composers, visual designers, video artists, and scientists since 1995. Artichoke Dance Company has toured nationally and internationally and held sixteen New York seasons at venues including Danspace Project at St. Mark’s Church, The Joyce SoHo, University Settlement, Dixon Place, the American Theatre of Actors, and the Ohio Theater, and has been presented at festivals including the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC, Fringe NYC, DancenOw/NYC and Philadelphia Fringe Festival.

Aimee Rials is a dancer and a modern choreographer. She studied dance at NYU’s Tisch School for the Arts and presented her solo and ensemble work (with Aimee Rials Dance Project) at Dixon Place (as part of Body Blend Series), Cool New York Dance Festival, and Dumbo Dance Festival, among others. Her work focuses on the complexities of relationships between women.
