in the lounge NYC Book Release: quiet of chorus Vanessa Huang & UpSet Press

About This Show

Celebrate quiet of chorus, Vanessa Huang’s debut poetry collection from UpSet Press!

“Vanessa Huang serves as a multi-tongued conductor, beating out stories in the words of the lost, giving voice to the earth, to the dead, occupied, imprisoned and to the invisible. She channels memories that already imbedded in the earth and calls up the supernatural to remind us of our many histories.” —ELMAZ ABINADER

‘Palestina es como el mar’ and so is language the sea: chiding us, chasing us, and contesting our poetics of innocence and our ‘relentless alphabet of the blameless.’” —CHERYL CLARKE
