During her tormented high school years, Katy saved over ninety AIM instant message conversations. Ten years later she excavated them from her old desktop. What emerges is a confrontation with the parts of herself she has filed away for no one else to see.
About the Artists

Lily Akerman has recently performed in the Between the Seas Festival (The Orchard Project), Electric Picnic (Ireland), Bodies in Urban Spaces (Willi Dorner Dance Company), and here at Dixon Place in Becca Foresman’s Short Plays. Her writing has been performed in the Dublin Fringe Festival, TEDx Dublin, the One Act Opera Project at Princeton, and the Royal Irish Academy of Music. She is a New Georges affiliated artist.
Katy Pinke is an actor, singer, improviser & theatre-maker. She has performed original work at Vital Joint at the Silent Barn, Pig Iron APT, Order of the Third Bird (as a possessed elevated train), and Tsinghua University in Beijing (as a time-traveling Qing Dynasty Eunuch). Performances in other new works include YesNoise Fest, NYC Fringe, and AND’s Boxers/Briefs festival. She sings with folk singer-songwriter Anthony D’amato, with whom she has performed at NPR’s Tiny Desk, SXSW, Bowery Ballroom, Music Hall of Williamsburg, and others. She is a Mandarin translator and interpreter. BA Princeton University.
