How to Eat the Thing that Eats You Aleah Black

About This Show

A new play created by conducting interviews with survivors of sexual assault. It is a synthesis of the Persephone myth with stories & memories of rape. Because of this, the play is more than one person’s exploration of a terrifying, taboo topic. It is an attempt to stare down this invisible epidemic & break it apart with rage, humor, love, fear, joy, pity & honesty. Because when the laws are failing so many people, there is nothing to do but make art.
