HOW TO BE ALONE! Rachel Kauder Nalebuff

About This Show

Twenty-five instructional vignettes inspired by the culture of internet self-help. Drawing from the undercurrent of sadness behind so many online videos, the “instructionals,” which range from “How to Eat Alone” to “How to Leave a Voicemail” all point to a requisite degree of loneliness and a search for intimacy. As the play progresses, characters and scenes break down—to the point of abandoning the premise of self-help entirely.
