Justin Covington, is a Brooklyn-based stand-up comic & actor (Netflix’s Easy, Universal Studios’ Bros).The Michigan native moved to New York City in 2017 and has been a steadily rising force in the comedy scene ever since. Justin’s easy-going and likable demeanor lets him tell even the most eyebrow-raising stories and bring down the house everywhere he goes.
Marga Gomez (she,they) has been an out Lesbian comic since Ellen Degeneres was still in the closet. Marga’s stand-up has been featured on PBS, Comedy Central, Showtime’s Latino Laugh Festival, and on HBO’s Comic Relief at the invitation of the late Robin Williams who called Marga “amazing…a Lesbian Lenny Bruce.” Marga currently lives in San Francisco where she was named “2023 Best Gay Comedian” by the Bay Area Reporter. But since she was born and raised in Washington Heights she’s thrilled to be back in New York to make her Glory W(h)ole debut and to premiere her new solo show “Swimming With Lesbians” at LaMama ETC. Melissa Rocha is a Brooklyn based comic, painter and full time idiot. She hosts Savage: A Comedy Show every Thursday at Logan’s Run in Park Slope.
Carlos Egaña is a New York–based Venezuelan writer. He recently earned his MFA in Creative Writing in Spanish at New York University. He has also taught courses on Gender Studies and Modern North American Fiction at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. He has three books in Spanish in print: a novel titled “Reggaetón” and two poetry collections, “hacer daño” and “Los Palos Grandes,” as well as a chapbook (mostly) in English published by Bottlecap Press. And he has written about fine arts, Latin-American politics and pop culture for various Venezuelan and American publications.
Layla Khoshnoudi is an actress and writer from Texas by way of Iran, living in Brooklyn. More practiced at performing other people’s writing, she is thrilled to enter The Glory (W)hole’s ranks and try her hand in this fertile setting.
