Gershwin Live at Dixon Place: Desire & The Sea Featuring Edgar Oliver & the Octave Doktors

About This Show

An evolving 21st century salon, artists with fearless & distinctive voices are given free rein to present theater, dance, film, cabaret, ghost stories, music & uncategorizable hybrids. Curated by Michael Wiener & Neke Carson.

desire & the sea is a selection of Edgar Oliver’s poetry and monologues spanning the past twenty-five years, focused on longing and the sea. He is accompanied by the Octave Doktors as they explore the intersection of words and music.  desire & the sea was first performed in April of last year at Sideshows by the Seashore in Coney Island.  It has since been made into an album.
