Forbidden Fruit is an evening of provocation and contemplation through song, poetry, and prose that examines the things we deny ourselves or are denied by others. Although we live in a polarized country, everyone is permitted in the lounge at Dixon Place.
about the artist
Steven J. Dean trained as a performer at the London Academy of Performing Arts and is the founder/artistic director of aSkeletonProduction, a loose collective of artists interested in creating non-linear performance. Previous work has been presented at HERE, MOMA PS1, PS122, Judson House, The Construction Company, Dixon Place, and several site specific venues.
