Tradition can really screw things up! Especially for Tony and Cookie. Aunt Cookie is dead and arrives at St. Peter’s gates to find the layout is less than desired! She approaches her mourners in an effort to set the record straight and acquire “a more sprawling layout”.
Uncle Tony is in prison but records the eulogy for his dear wife Cookie revealing his side of the story. As this Italian American couple from Jersey City tries to lay some things to rest, their loving niece Toni Ann recalls this interaction that took place at Riotto’s Funeral Parlor in her hometown of Jersey City, NJ.
Toni Ann De Noble is a NY based actor/ writer who’s recent credits include The Nuyorican, New Georges, Playwrights Realm, Dutch Kills, Clubbed Thumb, LaMama, Poetic Theatre, Dixon Place, Manifest (NBC), Elementary (CBS), Sneaky Pete (Amazon Prime), Shades of Blue (NBC), and ‘The Under Presents’ (Oculus Quest).
Toni Ann’s Italian American upbringing, her Aunt Mary Rose, and her hometown of Jersey City, NJ inspired Eulogy for Cookie.
