Eyes Closed Created and Directed by Katia Badalian

About This Show
Join us as we dare to dive into the sleeping minds of New Yorkers in this ‘in-dream’ theatre piece, and bring those dreams to life on stage. From psychedelic shapes that cannot exist in our conscious reality, to recurring dreams about talking animals – the dreamscapes in this piece will put you in touch with what you see when you sleep.
“In-dream” theatre: whereas the cast has surveyed the boroughs of the City and captured the dreams of real people with whom they have had interactions – most of them complete strangers. The dreams of street performers, psychics, strippers, lawyers, and waitresses will manifest in front of audiences on stage – like a dream. An “in-dream” experience means the audience is the dreamer and the cast the conduit.
