About the Artists

Tina Benez’s been writing and performing around the world since she ran away from “The Pitts” and the infamous red house on the hill, in search of a “savior” to rescue her beautiful, battered mother and damaged family from their star-crossed fates. After hit records in Asia, and stints at The Blue Angel as a trans-lap-dancer,  “PInk” TSD flashes began to haunt her; so she went back to The Pitts and dug deeper than ever before. “Putting Pink Icing on a Tall Cake” is her gender and genre bending memoir of love, hate and sweet pink revenge.

Daniella LaGaccia is a Brooklyn based artist, writer, and editor who has contributed to Art in America, Interview, PAPER, BOMB, and artnet News. She is also the co-founder and editor of INCIDENT Magazine, an online and print publication dedicated to performance art reviews, artist interviews, and essays.
