About This Show

Act 1 of a 2-act play: Harry Houdini & Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s rivalry continues in the afterlife where they and their wives are stuck in their versions of life after death. The play is based on letters they exchanged after Houdini asked Doyle to find him a genuine medium. They explored the space between life & death together.  They ended at opposite ends of a spectrum that here must find a resolution.  

About the Artists

Susan I. Weinstein‘s plays have been produced by A.C.T., at The Harold Clurman Theater, read or performed at The Public Theater, Trinity Rep &  Truant Arts. Her adaptation of The Little Mermaid was performed at Toykraft in Williamsburg. She is the author of The Anarchist’s Girlfriend.

Sara Minisquero (Director) is also an actress, stage manager, and dramaturg who has performed in Regeneration Theatre’s AS IS, She-Moon at The Muse, Brooklyn, and BOUDICCA at Dixon Place.

Lauren Elizabeth (Bess) heads her own production company, Street Cirque, which combines traditional stage and circus. Her production, BOUDICCA, was produced at Dixon Place on 10/7/18.

Owen Hayden (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle)is an actor recently in BOUDICCA at Dixon Place. He is known for Ac-tiv-ist (2016) and The Bard (2010).

Geoff Moonen (Harry Houdini) works in theater, film, TV, Voice-overs and has magic skills. (2018, Future Proof Season 2, The Trial of Usher Randall).

Chelsea Rodriguez (Lady Doyle) is a choreographer & drag performer, who has performed at Dixon Place (The Wapshot Whatever: The Secret Lives of  Computer Programs and BOUDICCA), Brooklyn Arts Exchange, The Producers’ Club, Joyce SoHo. Ballerina Bizet is her stage name for gender fluid drag.
