About the Artists

Gregory Corbino

In 2012, Gregory moved to New York City to work with Jennifer Miller’s Circus Amok, as a designer and performer touring the five boroughs in her queer circus spectacular. Since, has worked as a performer and vocalist with many companies in and out of New York including John Heganbotham Dance, Redwing Blackbird Theater, Flying Donkey Theater, Cathy Weiss Productions, Cygnus Ensemble, The Dolly Wagglers, and Reverend Billy and The Stop Shopping Choir. 

Anna Mayta

Mayta Fusion dance weaves multicultural forms of movement together to foster global narratives and shine a spotlight on our universality and diversity.

Sara Cooper

Sara Cooper is a playwright and lyricist. Recent awards: Dramatists Guild National Conference National New Play Network Presentation (2018), Queens Council on the Arts grant (2018); American Opera Initiative Commission (2017); Queens Council on the Arts grant (2016); New York State Council on the Arts Individual Theatre Artist Commission (2015); Jonathan Larson Grant, American Theatre Wing (2014). Benjamin Lundberg Torres Sánchez

Benjamin Lundberg Torres Sánchez uses performance and objects to transform individual witness into collective action. Their work has been shown at the Queens Museum, Museum of the Moving Image, The Mills Gallery at Boston Center for the Arts, RISD Museum, and the Knockdown Center, and has been presented internationally in Montreal, Mexico City, Santiago de Querétaro, São Paulo, Lima, and La Paz. Lundberg Torres Sánchez is a resident artist at AS220 in Providence, and is the founder of the exhibition series, “Se Aculilló?” Lundberg Torres Sánchez is the recipient of NEA funding through AS220’s 2017 Community Live Arts Residency, and is a two-time merit fellow of the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (New Genres, 2017; Film & Video, 2018)

Tina Wang

Tina Wang is a performance artist based in New York City. Identity, fragility, and resilience are key themes in her work, which draws on her experience as a Taiwanese citizen raised in Latin America and her decade of work across the gig economy (service, dance, translation, yoga). Her performances immerse the body around the objects of menial labor. She seeks to challenge assumptions about where these objects belong, who belongs with them, and their difference from living bodies.
