In the lounge Beautiful, Enormous Katharine Scarborough
About This Show
Beautiful, Enormous is a fantastical farce about Beth, a plus-size woman living in New York City, who is struggling. Every day is a battle. Her professional life, dating life, family life, everything seems to be falling apart. Just when things are at their worst, however, she is granted a glimpse of life on the other side. Overnight, the world shifts on its axis, and suddenly, her body is desired, rather than reviled. Big is sexy, and Beth must navigate a society in which she is considered the physical ideal. Beautiful, Enormous confronts the male gaze, beauty standards, and a woman’s value in our culture.
