Women+ on the Edge of Democracy
Commune with us on the eve of the midterms for five new short plays!
Initiated and commissioned by the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, in partnership with the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, taking place in communities around the country and the globe, the Women+ on the Edge of Democracy project has invited 36 women and TGNC playwrights to compose short works responding to the questions: What is the current state of democracy in America from a national and international perspective? What can history, global context, or futurism offer us in this pivotal moment?
Join us for five short works and a panel of organizers, followed by resource-sharing and community-building in the Dixon Place Cocktail Lounge!
