About the Choreographers

Monica is a dancer and choreographer performing in classical and contemporary Indian styles.  She has trained in Bharatanatyam for 30 years with complimentary work in diverse movement forms.  Monica toured nationally as a senior member of the Menaka Thakkar Dance Company and now performs primarily as a soloist.  Her solos have been presented across Canada by the Dancing on the Edge Festival, 12 Minutes Max, Pop-Up Dances, Dance All-Sorts, Mandala Arts and Culture, and Ottawa Dance Directive, she has appeared as a guest artist with Sampradaya Dance Creations and XBA Dance Co, and she is now based in New York.

Jordan Ryder graduated from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts in 2018 with a BFA in Dance and a double minor in Sociology and Entertainment Business. Throughout her time at Tisch, Jordan was always drawn to creating her own work, so immediately upon graduating she formed her own dance company, RyderDance. The Artists of RyderDance have presented work in over ten venues throughout New York City and New Jersey, and the Company is in process of working towards its first evening-length work which will premiere in June of 2020. Jordan was a recipient of the 2018 ETD New Choreographer Grant and most recently has worked on commissions with the Eryc Taylor Dance Company and Adlai E. Chicago-native, Dionna PridGeon is an Independent Artist/Entrepreneur & the Founder/Creative Director of moveDIPR (deeper). A Dance Educator for the past 15 yrs; She’s served on faculty at LCDS (Hubbard St Dance), Visceral, Ailey, Steps on Broadway, Joffrey Ballet, Debbie Reynolds, taught classes at BDC, Gibney, Peridance, Edge PAC, ML, Pulse on Tour, Princeton University, plus Internationally, in both Montreal, Norway & Germany. She’s a graduate of Point Park University, performed both concert & commercial works by: Lou Conte, Robert Battle, Brian Friedman, Kevin Maher, Shaun Evaristo & Ian Eastwood, to name a few! Showcased works at various venues in Chicago/LA/NY.

Sean Hatch, a New England native, began his formal dance training at age eighteen. Sean received his BFA in Dance Performance from the Hartt School of Dance under the direction of Stephen Pier. Upon graduating, Sean moved to New York City where he joined the Mari Meade Dance Collective (MMDC) of which he remains a member. Sean has since performed nationally and internationally working with various artists including ChristinaNoel and the Creature, Erin Dillon and Dancers, Korhan Basaran, Project 44, Yoo and Dancers, Daniel Gwirtzman, and Megan Bascom and Dancers. Sean founded hatchworks in 2017.
