About This Show
The Lady Power Project is a devised song cycle driven by music and centered around intersectional feminism. The show features original music based off of a series of images, paintings, and passages that represent and share the stories of women. The Lady Power Project: A Devised Song Cycle strives to empower individuals anywhere, whomever they may be. All proceeds will be donated to The Dwelling Place of NY, a women’s homeless shelter dedicated to rebuilding women and getting them back on their feet.
About the Artist
Rikki Ziegelman is an NYC based performer, producer and journalist. She graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 2018 with degrees in Musical Theatre & Journalism, and has since then found her place in freelance work within both fields. She strives to create work that is reflective of the social and political climate, and that induces and inspires change. Past credits include ‘American Idiot’ & ‘Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson’ (JustArt Theatricals), ‘Evelyn: A New Musical’ (Dixon Place), and the very first reading of

Hayden Anderson is theatre artist/producer striving to create & share work that educates & expands human understanding through storytelling. He’s currently coordinates press and marketing at Allied Touring (‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’, ‘The SpongeBob Musical’, ‘Xanadu’ feat. “RuPaul’s Drag Race” stars Ginger Minj and Jinkx Monsoon, ‘Something Rotten!’). Previous experience includes: ‘Chicago’ and ‘Waitress’ on Broadway and worldwide (Assistant, NAMCO); ‘Evelyn: A New Musical’ (Producer & Assoc. Director); ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ (Broadway Backstage Concierge & Intern, Stacey Mindich Productions).
Colleen Bowes recently graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with degrees in Directing and Writing for the Stage. While at school she directed several works, including excerpts from For the Love Of (or, the roller derby play) and Apparition (An Uneasy Play of the Underknown), as well as wrote and produced an original work, Dead Ringer. She is so excited for the opportunity to direct this piece, which combines her love of devised work and feminist theatre.
Quenton Ellis is a NYC based lyricist, composer & book writer. A recent graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, he is excited to be a part of this new, collaborative song cycle. His original musical, ‘Evelyn: A New Musical’, premiered at Dixon Place last fall. Previous musical direction credits include ‘On the Town’ (Marymount Manhattan College), ‘Les Miserables’ (A Class Act NY), ‘Annie’ & ‘The Addams Family’ (Jeans Playhouse). Quenton has also accompanied at several different cabaret spots in New York City, including Don’t Tell Mama and The West End Lounge.
Savannah is a New York City based musician, songwriter, and performer. A recent graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, Savannah studied musical theater for many years and has music directed and performed projects in New York and San Francisco – her home city. Beyond a supreme respect for the power of music, Savannah loves combining sonics and media. Equal parts Puccini/Pink Floyd. Music release coming Winter 2019! IG: @savna_
Riiza is a professional songwriter, music publishing administrator and journalist. After attending Marymount Manhattan College this past spring, she accepted a position as Music Publishing Administrator with The Royalty Network, Inc. Along with creating and fronting an all female rock band, Sister Signs, she also songwrites professionally for producers and local artists. She recently accepted a position as a Contributing Writer for Blended Magazine, a online music and culture platform.
