SHRIMP! WIP

The Joans are your average middle-management mavens, toiling and wasting their single precious lives away in the technocratic wasteland known as Trashtopia. They love two things: being the Legs Of The Operation, and shrimp. Succulent, delicious shrimp. Of course, in Trashtopia, all oceanic fare has been outlawed as an unnecessary indulgence unfit for the masses, reserved only for upper management. When they are finally granted a remote week, they are visited by an interdimensional oracle, who sets them on the path to crustaceous liberation. But dark forces await them on The Road, generating deceptive temporal renderings to steer them off course.

MIDDLE SISTER was founded by two besties: Claire Tumey and Hannah Bird. MIDDLE SISTER’s flair is derived from the Humid Highways, Basements, and Fields of the Ohio River Valley. They like glitter, healing, having hope and having fun.
They make theatrical spectacles as a means of making space for other artists and beloved community members to gather, think, dream, and be together in increasingly isolating times. They prioritize fun, financial transparency, and saying yes to bold creative choices, the elephants in the rooms, the tacky, the garish and the gauche.
