Queer Lab: Live & Unfiltered by Jack Shamblin and Adrian Crawford

About This Show

Tonight we spotlight the unfiltered, dynamic results of Queer Lab—a space where LGBTQ+ playwrights and filmmakers of all ages and backgrounds develop new work.

Writers drop in with fresh pages each month and, in the process, connect with directors, actors, and designers—creative sparks fly. Anyone can stop in, contribute, and be part of the journey.

Featuring a live Q&A with the Queer Lab community, the evening invites all who crave connection—and the cathartic release of seeing our stories take the stage.

About the Artists

Jack Shamblin is a Queer, genderfluid interdisciplinary performance artist, healer, and playwright. A citizen of the Cherokee Nation (Anigilohi Clan), their work fuses ritual, personal myth, and experimental performance. They debuted Caryl Churchill’s The Skriker onstage with Philip Seymour Hoffman and originated a role in Anne Bogart’s Marathon Dancing. In NYC, their plays have been featured at La MaMa, Dixon Place, and HERE. Alexis Arquette once performed Jack’s version of Myra Breckinridge. Internationally, they’ve collaborated with Lisbon artists and taught at Centro Em Movimento. Jack published Queering the Stage in 2015 and currently hosts Queer Lab at the Dramatists Guild Foundation.
