FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY come see artists from 7 different countries show off their best short-form puppetry for adults! Their acts may be short, but their travels were not. Recommended for 18+
The International Puppet Slam is the result of a yearlong partnership between the Puppet Slam Network, Shimokitazawa Festival in Tokyo, Japan,  and the Skupova Plzeň Festival in Plzen, Czech Republic to present some of the first International Puppet Slams and now we’re coming home to New York City!

 

Green Feather Foundation is a multi-platform non-profit encompassing existing programs of IBEX Puppetry, Handmade Puppet Dreams, Puppet Slam Network, as well as the educational and philanthropic works of Heather Henson. Founded by Henson in 2020 — umbrellaing work dating back to 2000 — Green Feather’s mission is to promote health and healing of the planet through artistic spectacle, puppetry, and the reconnection of individuals with the land through immersive cultural, environmental and arts education.
The Puppet Slam Network provides funding and support to the growing community of puppet slams (evenings of short-form puppetry for adults) all over North America. Spearheaded by Heather Henson since the 1990’s and officially organized in 2005, the Puppet Slam Network celebrates diverse grassroots puppetry communities through grant opportunities and community building, currently including 54 slams across the continent.
