I Will Always Loft You

About This Show

Welcome to the 675 Hudson Street loft!

A personal exploration and historical excavation, I Will Always Loft You follows Annabel Sexton-Daldry on her mission to reincarnate the spirit of the loft that raised her. Together, we’ll journey through the avant-garde multiverse and reckon with the weight of artistic lineage: the legacy of Annabel’s mother, who lived and rehearsed in the loft for 32 years; the revolving door of artists who passed through 675 Hudson street; and the artistic ancestors who show us how to keep dancing in a world that’s changed. Both a living archive and a manifesto for a new generation of artists, this is an investigation into the spaces—literal and metaphorical—that shape us. Welcome to our housewarming party. I hope you brought us a present…
Originally Annabel Sexton-Daldry’s Dance Honors Thesis project, the ensemble cast is made up
of current Oberlin College students and recent graduates.

Annabel Sexton-Daldry is an NYC-born and based dancer, choreographer, and improviser, who uses cross-disciplinary movement practices to explore the ways in which queerness, collaboration, and absurdity can intersect on stage. She recently graduated from Oberlin College with highest honors in Dance and a concentration in Peace and Conflict Studies. While there, she created and performed in I Will Always Loft You alongside Olivia Wohlgemuth. Other notable productions at Oberlin College include Fall Forward/Spring Back (choreographer and performer, 2021-2025), Oberlin Dance Company (performer, 2022, 2023), and The Zoo Story (director, 2023). Annabel’s work is heavily influenced by the many artists who helped raise her as they lived, worked, and performed in her home. She is honored to be performing in their footsteps at the historic Dixon Place. She has had the pleasure of studying under Ann Cooper Albright,
Alysia Ramos, Holly Handman-Lopez, Al Evangelista, Ellen Robbins, and Lisa Pilato.

Olivia Wohlgemuth is a Brooklyn-born and based director, performer, translator, and choreographer. At Oberlin College, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Comparative Literature and French. While there, she directed The Maids (2025) and The Bald Soprano (2023), participated in Fall Forward/Spring Back as a performer and choreographer (2021-25), and co-wrote, co-directed and performed in the first iteration of I Will Always Loft You (2025). She was also the Assistant Director for and played Masha in The Firebird Project’s The Seagull (2023). Olivia is interested in absurdity and the avant-garde, theatre translation from French, and mixing performance mediums.
