HOT!Dance is curated by Sangeeta Yesley during the longest running HOT Festival in NYC and features 5 dance companies/queer identified early career and established choreographers of all dance forms giving opportunity to showcase new, 8 – 15 minute pieces.

RITUAL (excerpt)
Jonathan Royse Windham- a Colorado native, has a BFA from the State University of New York at Purchase, concentrating in ballet, and after spent a season with American Repertory Ballet. Following ARB he worked with Gallim Dance and named one of Dance Magazines “25 to Watch”. He has worked with renowned choreographers across the globe including Hofesh Shechter in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway as part of the original revival company. His choreography has been shown thorough the continental US and Europe and is currently full time faculty and program manager of contemporary and ballet at the Martha Graham school.

Canzonieri Dance Collective/MJ Canzonieri
Lack Thereof…
Mia MJ Canzonieri is a BFA dance graduate at Rutgers University. They have worked with choreographers such as Barbara Angeline, Yo-el Cassel, Pam Tanowitz, Thang Dao, Ani Javian, Omar Roman De Jesus, Bradly Beakes in a restaging of ‘A Choreographic Offering’ by Josè Limòn, and a restaging of ‘Steps in the Street’ by Martha Graham set by Carrie Ellmore-Tallitsch. They interned with the José Limón Dance Foundation in the Summer of 2024. Right now MJ is a dancer for Bart.co Dance Company directed by Leigha Bartko and is going to continue working with the company after graduation!

Find A Good Husband (excerpt)
Yvonne Huatin Chow | 周化炜 (they/she) is a 1st generation Chinese American, queer, neurodivergent artist raised on Ohlone Land and currently based on Mohican & Munsee Lenape territory. Drawing from Hip-Hop/Street Dance and martial arts, their work has been presented at the AAPI Dance Festival at APAP, Step It Up NYC Youth Dance Competition, and more. They serve as Founding Artistic Director of House of Chow, a 501c3 where the wisdom of Asian lineage meets a deep respect for Hip-Hop dance. They have received residencies at Culture Lab, Goddard Riverside Community Arts Program, and NYU Artist Development Program for Dance.

Sabina Fritz
What Does Happiness Look Like
Sabina Fritz is a freelance theater and dance artist with a BA from UCSD, and a certificate of completion from the Limon Institute. Her work has been shown across the country, and she currently works teaching in afterschool programs, and as an assistant to Lauren Lovette. She values positivity, sensitivity, and collaborative spaces where individuals are empowered to listen and contribute as the work needs.

Magali Johnston-Viens
Vampiric 0.1: Laura
Magali Johnston-Viens is part French and part Canadian but grew up mostly between Paris and Washington, DC. They trained at the Kirov Academy of Washington DC from 2011 until graduation in 2016. Magali has danced professionally since 2019, when they joined Ballet Palm Beach, they then went on to join Minnesota Ballet. Magali was a creator at Point Park University’s Choreographic Collective in 2022 and received the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council Individual Artist Project Grant in 2023. Magali is currently a freelance dancer and choreographer in NYC and has danced with Dances Patrelle, Sekou Walton Dance, Neglia Ballet, Sarah Yasmine Marazzi-Sassoon, and other NYC-based choreographers. Magali has been an artist in residence at Moulin/Belle in le Perigord Vert, France, in September 2025 and May 2026. Most recently, Magali’s works have been presented in CounterPointe12 and 13 by Norte Maar, as part of the Evolution Festival organized by the Center at West Park, as well as in Dances Patrelle’s 2026 spring season.
