Dice Goblins

A group of young, queer nerds embark on a new Dungeons & Dragons campaign, ready for danger and intrigue, but completely unprepared for the real world to bleed into their fantasy. On the quest to survive their twenties, they face a series of dastardly foes, including a dubiously polyamorous dude, the shrinking job market, addiction, a stuffy legal office, and much more. As the party discovers that dice rolls can’t solve their problems, the paths they choose may rupture their bond forever.

Katie Friedemann has been writing since they were five years old and they promise they’ve made some progress since. Most recently, in 2025, they premiered a short play, “Tash Rides a Bike,” at the East Village Basement. Two episodes of their miniseries, “Sadsack,” are available on YouTube.
