Dance City Festival New York

Dance City Festival (DCF) is an annual community building event that celebrates dance in its various forms and disciplines. Now in its fourteenth year in Detroit, and second year in New York, Dance City Festival New York includes performances and networking opportunities all held in the vibrant city of New York at the festival’s central venue, Dixon Place. Our mission is to educate diverse audiences about the impact of dance, provide opportunities for artists to share their work, and create an artistic network linking New York, the greater US, and the world!

Dance City Festival (DCF), formerly known as Detroit Dance City Festival, is an annual community building event that celebrates dance in its various forms and disciplines. Each year, DCF brings the work of renowned local, national, and international performing artists, choreographers, and companies to the stage. DCF continues to reach an ever-broadening audience through its international collaborative project, the Festival Exchange Program, spearheaded by DCF’s parent organization ArtLab J. Offering artists the unique opportunity to perform their work at partnering festivals both in the US and abroad, this program seeks to promote intercultural exchange while advancing the city of Detroit as an international hub for the art of dance.
