Company: Valerie Green/Dance Entropy

Presenting: Immeasurable

Valerie Green has been an active dancer, choreographer and teacher in the NYC dance community since
1995. Her company, Dance Entropy founded in 1998, added a company home in 2005 called Green Space
in LIC. Green has created 47 dances and 11 evening length works. Her choreography has been seen
throughout NYC, the US, and internationally in Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Burkina
Faso, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, France, Georgia, Greece, Guatemala, Korea, India, Italy,
Lebanon, Nigeria, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Togo.

CompanyAnthony Alterio

Presenting: Everything I Never Wore…

Anthony Alterio is Assistant Professor of Instruction in Musical Theatre and Dance at Ohio University, teaching in the Schools of Dance and Theatre. His research explores LGBTQIA+ identity, pop culture, and embodiment. A Pittsburgh native, he holds degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Michigan, choreographs nationally, and directs the Pittsburgh Dance Workshop.

Presenting: Wildfire

Co-Directors Ashley Carter and Vanessa Martínez de Baños have performed worldwide and have achieved recognition for their choreography nationally and overseas. Venues and companies include the The NY MET, Battery Dance Festival, Symphony Space, Webster Hall, Theatre 80, Teatro La Tea, Teatro Madrid… Pilobolus, Justin Timberlake, Lush Cosmetics, Sia, El País newspaper, Nicki Minaj, and Broadway Asia to name a few. They have choreographed several shows (“Tick, Tick, Boom!”; “I Love You, You’re Perfect.. Now Change”; “LoveArtJapan”), events (City Parks SummerStage Festival, Tap City, NYC Half Marathon, Fuse TV, flashmobs), films, commercials, music videos, etc; and have danced for Daniel Gwirtzman, HannaQ Dance, Balasole, Germaul Barnes/Viewsic Expressions, Freddie de Jesus, and many more. Both directors are on faculty at Ellison Ballet, Ballet Hispanico, Steps on Broadway, Joffrey Ballet School, Ballet Academy East, Peridance Capezio Center in NYC.

Company: Qualia Dance Collective by Fiona Scruggs

Presenting: Midnight

Born in Germany, Fiona Scruggs’s choreography has been presented at Jacob’s Pillow, 5×5 Festival, and more. She is an ABT Certified Teacher and recently performed with Ulster Dance Company and Qualia Dance Collective (director/founder). B.S. in Dance Education – Radford University; MFA in Dance candidate – Sarah Lawrence College.

Company: Varshini Krishnaswamy

Presenting: Re-exploring Thiruvasagam

Rooted in Chennai’s rich Bharatanatyam tradition, Varshini began dancing at age four and completed her Arangetram in 2021 after 18 years of rigorous training. A performer in India and the U.S., she co-founded Jersey Adavu, continues advanced training, and balances her artistic journey with a tech career at the NYSE.

 

Company: Danse Lumiere/Kathryn Roszak

Presenting: The Unspoken

Kathryn Roszak, Artistic Director of Danse Lumiere, trained at the School of American Ballet. She danced as a soloist with SF Opera Ballet and has choreographed for SF Opera, SF Symphony, and ACT. Choreography presented by Martha Graham Dance Series, 92nd Street Y, and La MaMa ETC in New York.

Company: Emily Roche

Presenting: Creature of Habit

Emily Roche (she/her) is a Performer/Choreographer based in Manhattan. She is studying dance studies, teaching dance, and business at Marymount Manhattan College. She choreographed two musicals (Legally Blonde, Moana, Jr.) and many site-specific dance film projects. Her choreography focuses on dynamic, passionate movement that enhances the dancer’s expression.
