Chicava served as the Creative Producer of Brown Girls Burlesque. At Joe’s Pub, she produced *The Dirty Honey Shake*, a live blues and jazz burlesque revue. Her work has been showcased at the Brooklyn Museum, Yale School of Art, The New Museum, and The Kitchen, as well as internationally at the SunCity Casino in Macau, China.
She appears as Fumi in Efe Kaba’s upcoming *Chock Full Till Empty.* Chicava’s lead turn as Hillary in Nicole Franklin’s *Title 7* was an audience favorite on the festival circuit.
Chicava holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Goddard College, concentrating on the heritage of Black women in burlesque, spirituality, metaphysics, and Taoist practices.
