dixon place and Monét Movement Productions: The Collective present Never Apart, Always Together

About This Show

Never Apart, Always Together transforms dancers into portals of ancestral memory, time and historical bearers of tradition. Through each work, the depictions of the dancing body transcend space and time in ways that celebrate life, honor the past and evoke deep gratitude for the amalgamation of voices the body inhibits. The dancing body is given permission to speak to the space it fills and keeps.

Makayla Monét Peterson is a dancer, choreographer, scholar, teaching artist, and culture agent from Brooklyn, NY.
