Upping My Numbers Hally McGehean & Joe McGinty

About This Show
Hally awakens from a night out wearing nothing but smudged mascara and a hand stamp. Her voice throaty with a hangover, she recounts every person on her list of sexual adventures, all while getting dressed for another evening. From early memories of Eighth Avenue hookers to the regrets of the night before, Hally accounts for her sexual past and tries to figure out how it should inform her future. She confesses her story in a reverse burlesque, beginning the show naked and dressing, piece by piece of clothing, until she walks out of the theater in pursuit of another possibility.

Joe McGinty is most known for his five years as the keyboardist for The Psychedelic Furs. He is the founder and music director of the Loser’s Lounge tribute series based at Joe’s Pub. McGinty opened Sid Gold’s Request Room, a classic, retro-styled piano bar in Chelsea and has teamed up with Superhuman Happiness singer Andrea Diaz to form the cabaret-noir duo The Duchess And The Fox. Dana is an advocate for the importance of the Arts in the lives of children and teens. She is actively associated with local performing arts schools and community theaters and their fundraising.
