About the Artists

Mei Yamanaka is a dancer and choreographer from Tokyo, Japan. In 2008, She came to New York. She has been working with Tiffany Mills Company, Jennifer Archibald. She also has worked with Mana Kawamura, Palissimo, Mark Dendy, Oui Danse and White Wave Dance Company and more. Her choreographic work had been presented at Fresh Tracks, Movement Research at Judson Church, Dumbo Dance Festival, COLLABOFEST, Take Root Series, and more in NYC. She was elected as an artist-in-residence at Dance Theater Workshop (now New York Live Arts) Fresh Tracks in 2010-2011 and also  at Chez Bushwick in 2014.

Kyle Georgina Marsh (pictured right), is a New York/Jersey City based dance artist who was raised in Hawaii. Her work has been presented at The DeBaun Performing Arts Center, The George Street Playhouse, Dance New Amsterdam, BAX (Brooklyn Arts Exchange), and The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Kyle holds a BFA in dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts and a Masters Degree in Dance Education from Rutgers Graduate School of Education. In 2013 Kye was a  coLAB/Lustig Choreographer in Residence.

Angie Conte (pictured left) is a choreographer, dancer, and artist from Brooklyn NY. She is currently earning a Masters in Dance at Tisch School of the Arts, and received a BA from Roger Williams University. In 2011 she established her dance company, Angie Moon Dance Theatre. Her work with the company has been described as “Quite beautifully enthralling, like a well-written tragic novel that refuses to be set aside. Through her few years with AMDT she has presented work both Nationality and Internationality, and her dance films have been shown internationally as well as in the Movies by Movers Dance Film Festival.

Buggé Ballet is a critically acclaimed ballet company led by founding artistic director Nicole Buggé. The company has been featured on PBS in WHYY’s Friday Arts series as a winner in Rider University’s inaugural Emerging Choreographers Competition and performed internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as part of Booking Dance Festival. The company toured in Richmond, Virginia and La Plata, Maryland for our annual Nutcracker production. Buggé Ballet presented commissioned works at Lincoln Center and with One World Symphony in addition to being part of the curated NuDance festival, and performing at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Bryant Park, The Ailey Citigroup Theater, Greenspace, Spectrum, the FAB! Festival, and at Dixon Place.
