Caitlin Cullen Dance

Caitlin Cullen Dance has performed nationally at venues such as the Harlem Repertory Theatre, Triskelion Arts, The Tank NYC, 92nd Street Y, the University of Oklahoma, Cherokee Mountainside Theatre, the American Dance Festival, Rose Wagner Theatre of Salt Lake City, and the Boise District Coffee House.  Caitlin makes dances with rich physicality, creating a sense of well-being by delving deeply into life’s simple beauties. Her work hones in on conceptual introspect, and she is delighted to share this new piece with you.

Copy That Dance

Copy That Dance premiered in December 2016 at Dixon Place as part of the 30-30-30 celebration. Under the direction of Phoebe Rose Sandford, the company has presented work at The Woods, Triskelion Arts, NYU’s Jack Crystal Theater, Beulahland, Green Space, and Marie-Christine Giordano’s Artist’s Salon. Phoebe has performed with Anne Zuerner, mishiDance, MoveWorks, Alice Gosti, Jonathan Matthews, This is Not a Theatre Company, The Charles Weidman Foundation, Patricia Hoffbauer, and AMS Project. The company’s short film He even took narly premiered at The Hours Festival last year. Copy That Dance is a fiscally sponsored project of Fractured Atlas.

ShaLeigh Dance Works

ShaLeigh Dance Works, under the artistic leadership of ShaLeigh Comerford, is a dance theatre company dedicated to creating socially conscious works. Since receiving a standing ovation at their NYC premiere, SDW quickly became recognized as an emerging company. Their success has taken them from performances and residencies in NYC to Germany, England, Israel and Japan. Since landing in NC, they have celebrated touring with North Carolina Dance Festival, performing at the prestigious American Dance Festival, and presenting two evening length works. Comerford is a graduate of Hollins University with a Master’s degree in Visual and Performing Arts. She is a showcased artist of DIDA’s 2014-15 & 2017-18 Season, and was an awarded winner in the 2013 Tokyo Experimental Festival of Sound, Art & Performance.

Emily Kessler

Emily Kessler is a Brooklyn, NY based performer and choreographer. She graduated Cum Laude from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance, earning a BFA in Performance and Composition and a minor in Art History. Emily also studied abroad at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, where she apprenticed with local dance companies RAWmoves and Frontier Danceland. She has worked with Stuart Singer, Jee Eun Ahn, and John Heginbotham among others. Emily has been Dancer in Residence at the Neuberger Museum of Art, and her choreographic work has been performed in New York and Pennsylvania, and internationally in Singapore and Vietnam.
