About the Artists
Liz Charky is a performer, video artist and performance-maker based in New York City. Originally from Los Angeles, California, she studied performance and film at Connecticut College (BA, Dance / BA, Film Studies) and MADE in France (Paris & Melisey, France). Liz has presented work at Connecticut College, the American College Dance Festival at UMASS Amherst, Dance Complex (MA), Movement Research, Triskelion Arts, YES NOISE at the Highline, Chez Bushwick and Dixon Place (upcoming). She currently works with Kim Brandt and Ayano Elson, and has performed at Artists Space, AVA, AUNTS/New Museum, Gibney Dance, Ice Box (PA), The Kitchen, Movement Research, Pioneer Works and Triskelion Arts. Liz is also a freelance filmmaker, currently collaborating with Yara Travieso.
Ranardo-Domeico Grays (SAG/AFTRA, AEA), Founder/Artistic Director of VISIONS Contemporary Ballet, is an alumnus of Juilliard and CalArts (BFA), Alvin Ailey and Interlochen. He has performed with Sensedance, Rebecca Kelly Ballet, La Toya Jackson, Garth Fagan, Celebrity Cruises and Urban Wash. He has taught Master Class workshops at Marygrove College and was Dance Director at Morris High School. VISIONS has been presented by Dixon Place in Moving Men and Under Exposed; Wassaic Festival; Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center in Souls of Our Feet and PEEKS; Bronx Academy of Arts & Dance in Boogie Down Bronx, Out Like That and BlakTino; GreenSpace in Fertile Ground; American Cancer Society and The Field/LMCC/Harlem Arts Alliance. Ranardo is a brain cancer survivor!
Kathleen Kelley is a choreographer, media artist, and Assistant Professor of Dance at Montclair State University. Her creative work has been shown across the US including at the Dance Complex in Boston, the Center for Performance Research, the Tank NYC, the John Ryan Theater, Triskelion Arts Center, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Chez Bushwick, and Dance New Amsterdam. She is a 2015-2016 LEIMAY Fellow at CAVE Organization and her most recent work, Unstable Artifacts, premiered in 2016 part of the CURRENT SESSIONS, Volume VI, Issue I performance series.
Sari Nordman has presented her work for Atlantic Center for the Arts, AUNTS, BAAD!, BAX, CPR, Columbia University, CounterCurrent Festival, Danspace Project, Dixon Place, Irondale Center and Movement Research at the Judson Church, among others. She has enjoyed residencies at Atlantic Center for the Arts, Bearnstow, BAX, Fantasy Generator at Hollins University, Loimaan Taidetalo and Zodiak Z-Free in Finland, and Solo works @ 77 in Greece. She continues developing Tough, mysterious, sensitive. She has worked with choreographer Dean Moss on several of his projects since 2009. She holds an M.F.A. from NYU/Tisch Dance. Most recently she has received funding from Finlandia Foundation National.
