About the Artists

Ross Daniel and Sarah Rose created DanielRose Projects as a platform for their continued collaborative choreographic work. The pair was selected for MANCC’s (Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography) inaugural Forward Dialogues program for emerging artists in May, 2017 which gave them the opportunity to research a merging of their two distinct choreographic practices. DanielRose Projects has performed in Tallahassee, FL; Brooklyn, NY; Milford, PA; Jersey City, NJ; and Warren, VT.  To learn more please visit www.danielroseprojects.com

Jessie Young is an artist and teacher living in Brooklyn. Her work has been presented by Pieter Performance Space,  New York Live Arts (2017-18 Fresh Tracks Artist in Residence), AUNTS (at Mt. Tremper), DraftWork at Danspace, Brooklyn Studios for Dance and Domestic Performance Agency.  Her choreographic work is shaped by her experiences as a performer working with Abby Z and the New Utility, Julie Mayo, Stephanie Acosta, Khecari Dance Theater, The Seldoms, The Moving Architects and many others. She received her BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah and MFA from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.

Catie Leasca is a dance artist currently based in Brooklyn, NY. With roots in Massachusetts, she has traveled and danced abroad in Israel, France, Belgium, and Germany. Catie received a space grant through Chez Bushwick/UArts creative exchange in 2017 and has presented her work at Center for Performance Research, Triskelion Arts, STUDIO4, Threes Brewing, and Salt Dance Fest. Catie is currently an Upstart resident at Brooklyn Arts Exchange and a Work Up 5.0 artist at Gibney Dance Center. She graduated with her B.F.A. in Dance from the University of the Arts in May, 2017.

Jenna Hanlon, a native of Rochester NY, graduated summa cum laude from Slippery Rock University with a BA in dance and a minor in technical theater. Jenna draws inspiration from her acts of daily living; grounding down like earth, rising with the tides and free falling with the wind. With early roots as a competitive gymnast, Jenna is often known to be upside down and backwards, constantly flipping one’s perspective. Jenna’s current work focuses on body mechanics as she melds her work with The Egoscue Method with that of Laban Movement Analysis, Bartinieff Fundamentals and Kinesiology.
