In the lounge UHMMM… Games for the End of the World Christopher Gallerani

About This Show

UHMMM… is a piece about facing demons and finding solace in uncertainty. At a moment of great political turmoil in an age of manufactured technological facades, Chris Gallerani searches for meaning in himself and in those close to him. UHMMM… is a series of ‘games’ designed to distract us all from the greatest demon of all: ourselves.45

about the artist

Chris Gallerani graduated from Dartmouth College in June 2015, majoring in theater and minoring in music. In addition to training as an actor and musician, Chris studied theater history and the ways in which feminist and queer theory inform the content and structure of performance art within a specific cultural-historical context. His senior honors thesis #werq: a queer journey– a solo exploration of his Catholic and queer identities- was performed at Dixon Place in April 2016. His sophomore effort R A W with Chris Gallerani debuted there in August 2016. He recently performed Chiron in Improbable Stage’s That Which Remains at IRT. He now lives in New York City, where he works a lot of part time jobs and creates random things in his living room, all while trying to understand: what is happening?
