In the Lounge Type Me Queer prettypretty

About This Show

The Manhattan-based Queer pity party pop duo prettypretty is Marcos René Ospina and Rachel Wilson. They are rooted in harmony-driven vocals with genres ranging from “almost country” to synth pop. prettypretty is a band that creates music from a place of joy and experimentation.  Their piece “Type Me Queer” focuses on the formative creative moments that allowed them to find their own personal Queer expression and identity, represented through song, movement, and visual art. The title comes from the culture of typecasting in the world of musical theatre. The show will feature short scenes, original songs, and covers of the band’s founding mother, Kate Bush.
