Chloe Hooton A performer from the U.K. who relocated to New York. Her credits include: writing the original story “The Woman who Shed her Skin” last February in Nicaragua as part of Lama Theaters artist residency for which she is now partnering with  Noel MacDuffie in this theatrical performance piece. Her first play, The Woman Who Wondered and Wandered the World, aimed at children, premiered at the Gene Frankle Theatre in 2015 and toured to various schools around New York.

Noel MacDuffie After many years as a professional dancer and choreographer, Noel returned to his first love, theater.   Directing credits include The Baltimore Waltz, Doubt, The Real Inspector Hound, Scarecrow, The Foreigner, Matt and Ben, and an expanded version of Euripides’ Medea that he choreographed, and directed.  In his past life he choreographed over 30 modern dance pieces including 3 evening length narrative works (Soul Descending, The Snow Queen, and 3 am, 89°, no wind.)  He danced for the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company and the Nancy Hauser Dance Company among others.   Noel holds an MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College.

Samantha Nugent Founding members of Loop Troupe whose credits include: Taking It Too Far, an ongoing collection of comedic scenes in the style of a traveling theatre group. Samantha is also an improvisor with Pity Applause, and can be seen in CoupleThing’s recent viral video “When Bae Cancels Plans Last Minute.”

Jenna Rae Smith‘s credits include: Performing in the Jazz Dance World Congress, TEDx Pittsburgh, and “One” by Millennium Dance Complex Pittsburgh. Her credits also include becoming an original member of fireWALL Dance Theater. She is currently a member of the dance company Neshamah based in New York City. Jenna holds a Bachelor of Arts in modern dance from Point Park University.

Flora McGill Credits include the lead role in the world premiere of The Private Lives of Eskimos, and 4-season company member of the Children’s Theater group The Fremont Players and has performed with internationally renowned artists such as Larry Coryell, Julian Priester and Jovino Santos Neto.   She is the lead vocalist on Santos Neto’s Grammy-nominated album Canto Do Rio, and in 2010 she won the Seattle IO Award for Best Vocalist. Flora McGill is recent graduate of Maggie Flanigan Studio in NYC and received a BA in music from Cornish College of the Arts.

John LaSala Composer, songwriter, and sound designer whose theatrical output has been honed over the course of nearly two decades in concert with the direction and choreography of Noel MacDuffie; with credits: The Baltimore Waltz; Medea; 3am, 89°, no wind; Soul Descending; and The Snow Queen (an award winning design for Fringe NYC), among others. Along with fellow musicians and writers of the Very Us Artists, John has also produced numerous multimedia projects, including the music for cyberfiction anthology, Foreshadows: The Ghosts of Zero.

Michael Redman Assistant Technical Director at Brooklyn College and freelance designer and production manager in New York, Washington DC, and nationally. In 2016, Michael was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award (DC) for his projections design of Theatre Alliance’s Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea. Prior to moving to NYC in August 2016, Michael was the Production Manager at Georgetown University and worked with companies including Yale Repertory Theatre, the Utah Shakespearean Festival, Nashville Children’s Theatre, Mosaic Theatre of DC, Andy’s Summer Playhouse (NH) among others.

Karim Rivera-Rosado Costume designer based in New York since 2011. Holds a BA in Theater Education from the University of Puerto Rico. She debuted as Lighting Designer in the world premier of Radium Now by Kate Benson and Speech and Debate by Stephen Karam  at The New Workshop Theater. Her Costume Design credits include Baltimore Waltz (The New Workshop Theater, NY),  July 7,1994 (Brooklyn College), East of the Sun, West of the Moon (Looking Glass Theater, NY), Pillowman (Theater of the UPR, PR), among others. Non design credits include, Producer: Entre Quien, Cual y Sea (LATEA Theater, NY), Assistant Director/Stage Manager: Ojo Fabulas Cautivas (Teatro Julia de Burgos, PR) among others. Karim is currently working towards her MFA in Design and Technical Production at Brooklyn College.
