The Tendencies Yael Nachajon / Yael Nachajon Dance Theater

About This Show
The Tendencies creates exaggerated worlds that highlight some of the simultaneously common, yet fundamentally bizarre aspects of human behavior. Through theater and dance, the work seeks to honor the tiniest flick of a hand, turn of a smile, sarcastic remark, or unexpected silence. In drawing the audience’s’ attention to the most fleeting aspects of behavior, Yael reveals the most familiar yet overlooked elements of everyday relationships. Using humor to both entertain and disarm the audience, she seeks to point out the emotionality we all share, revealing the basic truths behind how we connect to one another.
