The Could’ve-Beens is the story of five sperm cells in search of an egg… which they have difficulty finding once they realize they are inside a man. Andy the Anus and Pete the Prostate help the sperm cells on their journey to find a purpose and self-acceptance in this allegorical queer comedy.

about the artist

Joe Reault (Writer/Director) – Joe is a recent graduate of Pace University and a writer-director who creates dark, awkward, or farcical comedy about people’s inability to cope with tragedy, anxiety, and pain, often focusing on modern queer narratives. He is the co-founder of the production company SITTING SHOTGUN and the current education intern with Tectonic Theater Project. Directing credits include: No One Goes to Heaven* (Pace Productions), COCK (Pace Sketch Comedy Group), Getting There (Access Theatre); AD credits include: Snakebit (dir. Christopher Hanke, Pace Productions), Gaining Momentum (dir. Rania Rashoodi, Under St. Mark’s Theatre), Dust to Dust (dir. Allie Marrotta, Stand-Up Productions).
