The Association for the Promotion of New Music (APNM) presents Strings and Circuits, featuring violinist Hajnal Pivnick performing works for violin/viola and electronic sound composed by APNM members. The concert features innovative and exciting electroacoustic compositions by Elaine Barkin, Mei Fang Lin, Taylor Brook, Nina Young, Art Kreiger, and Carl Bettendorf, with original video projections by Ryan Vahey.

About the Organizers

The Association for the Promotion of New Music is a national consortium of composers with a mission to make significant contemporary music available to performers and audiences. APNM fosters the compositional creativity of its members by offering performances of their music, publication services, and promotional visibility. APNM is pleased to collaborate on this concert with Hungarian-American violinist Hajnal Kármán Pivnick. Pivnick advocates the performance and promotion of music written in the 20th and 21st century, and works extensively as an educator and arts administrator. She is co-founder of Tenth Intervention, and performs regularly with IRIS Orchestra, ensemble mise-en, and the Bleecker String Quartet.
