About the Artists

GLYNN BORDERS won Outstanding New Script at the Midtown International Theater Festival for SLEEP WELL (Summer, 2014). Glynn was also nominated for three other awards in including Outstanding Solo Performance. SLEEP WELL was first performed at the Plus One Solo Festival (spring, 2014) and then at the One Man Talking Solo Festival (fall, 2014).  Other solo shows include THE ENFORCER (2009) THE PIPELAYERS UNION (2010) and BLOOD SEX AND TEARS (2008).

Glynn is the writer and director of the DARK STAR FROM HARLEM (1990); a cabaret musical about Josephine Baker was originally produced at LaMama Theater. In 1992 it was moved to Pierre Cardin’s hotel, Maxim’s. In 2005, Mr. Borders was the Gold Prize Winner of the Page International Screenplay Competition. He was also an acting teacher and director at the world famous theater camp Stage Door Manor in the Catskills.

At present, Glynn is the Special Effects Director for CBS and THE LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN. Other TV shows for FX include, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, LATE NIGHT with CONAN O’BRIEN and THE ROSIE O’DONNELL SHOW all at NBC. Glynn is a proud member IATSE, Local One. He is certified in pyrotechnics by FDNY, The State of NY and the ATF. Glynn studied acting and directing with Gene Frankel and was a member of the Public Theater’s Shakespeare Festival Playwright’s Workshop with Ed Bullins in the 1980’s.

HERBIE QUNIONES (director) has been a stand up comic for more than 20 years. He appeared on BET’S COMIC VIEW, APOLLO COMEDY HOUR and HBO’S QUE LOCOS. Herb also wrote, produced and narrated the dance oriented, LATIN MADNESS, documenting the history of Latin dance (Mambo, Cha-Cha-Cha and Salsa). The production played in New York, Los Angeles, London and Zurich. This is his first venture as a director. Mr. Quinones was also a radio personality on UNIVISION and he is currently developing a bilingual sports talk show called SPORTS SALSA.

(sound effects design) is the SFX wizard at THE LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN.
